Michael T. Carney’s business and corporate practice includes counseling closely-held and family businesses on the formation, ongoing operation, and purchase, sale, or dissolution of business entities, and business transactions. His estate planning practice integrates clients’ business interests into their estate planning, incorporating closely-held business interests into a new, or an existing estate plan, and providing business succession and asset protection planning.
Before coming to Barulich Dugoni Law Group, Inc., Mr. Carney practiced business law and estate planning with his own firm in San Francisco.
He is a member of the State Bar of California (Trusts and Estates Section; Business Law Section); the Bar Association of San Francisco (Barristers Club Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section; Barristers Club Litigation Section, Chair 2003), and the San Mateo County Bar Association (Estate Planning Probate Section; Business Law Section).
Mr. Carney received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law; a Master of Arts (Philosophy) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee; and a Bachelor of Music (Organ Performance) from the Southern Methodist University Meadows School of the Arts, studying with the renowned Robert T. Anderson.
